Taking VR experiences mainstream

Not only the hardware but also Facebook announced 1000+ apps and games that accompany the Oculus Go. The three main experiences that initially helps taking VR mainstream are Oculus tv, Oculus rooms and Oculus venues.

Oculus TV

Oculus TV is a virtual home theater and a hub for non-VR video apps. That includes services like Netflix, Imagine your smart TV inside the VR headset where you can watch movies and other programs in solo or with your friends on a massive screen from a huge seating area.

Oculus Rooms

Oculus Rooms is social space (personalised home) in VR. Where you can invite your friends over to play tabletop games, watch TV and movies, listen to music, share photos or jump into other apps together. You can also customise your room with the furniture and styles of your choice, and decorate the walls with photos from Facebook.

Oculus Venues

Oculus venues allow you to experience performances and other events in virtual reality. It puts you in the front row for concerts, sport events, comedy shows and more. It lets you to join thousands of others to share the experience and meet other fans in the crowd, or watch in solo mode from a box seat high above the crowd.

Socialising AR & VR

Apart from Oculus Go and the apps, Facebook also introduced many other features in the current line of their products right from Messenger, Instagram and of course Facebook itself.

This lets companies to create 3D objects of their products and let users to share it with their friends and experience it real time using AR. This would be a great tool for marketers and product makers.
